Role SummaryThe Senior Events Manager – Amsterdam is responsible for leading the strategic planning, organization, and execution of all events in Amsterdam, including IPO ceremonies, conferences, courses, and seminars. This role also supports corporate and business events, business dinners, and other key engagements as needed.As a senior leader, the Senior Events Manager will be responsible for managing and reorganizing the events team, ensuring more efficient and time-effective event planning and execution. They will implement new processes and strategies to enhance the impact, quality, and scalability of events, aligning them with Euronext’s business objectives. Additionally, they will manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and revenue optimization, while driving continuous improvement through post-event evaluations.The Senior Events Manager in Amsterdam will be a key member of the Euronext Group Events Team, reporting to the Group Head of Events within the Communications & Investor Relations (IR) division. The role is based in Amsterdam, with potential travel across Europe to support events in other Euronext locations when necessary.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the entire event planning process in Amsterdam, ensuring alignment with business goals and optimizing efficiency.
  • Manage, mentor, and restructure the event team, enhancing coordination, efficiency, and overall team performance.
  • Develop and implement new event management strategies to streamline workflows, reduce time-consuming processes, and improve event effectiveness.
  • Oversee and deliver a range of virtual, hybrid, and in-person events, including IPO ceremonies, workshops, large-scale conferences, and business seminars.
  • Redefine the approach to traditional events, such as gong ceremonies, taking a more strategic role in decision-making regarding their structure and purpose.
  • Ensure smooth event logistics, including invitations, guest lists, catering, audiovisual support, security, media coordination, webcasting, photography, and vendor management.
  • Supervise and optimize budget allocation, ensuring cost control and revenue generation from events.
  • Ensure that all branding, marketing materials, and event communications are aligned with Euronext’s corporate identity in collaboration with the design agency and internal branding teams.
  • Work closely with senior business stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for internal teams organizing events.
  • Collaborate with teams in Communications, PR, Social Media, Marketing, and Facilities to maximize event visibility and effectiveness.
  • Manage external agencies, ensuring high-quality execution of services.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives, ensuring ESG compliance for events and promotional materials while proposing improvements to reduce the team’s carbon footprint.
  • Maintain and improve event reporting and analytics, providing strategic insights to optimize future events.
  • Support international projects, contributing to a cohesive event strategy across Euronext’s European locations.

The Senior Events Manager in Amsterdam will take a leading role in enhancing and optimizing the organization of major events, including:

  • IPO & listing ceremonies – Leading the planning and structure of these high-profile events.
  • Strategic Gong Ceremonies – Taking a proactive role in evaluating and deciding the best approach to hosting (or not) these ceremonies
  • Euronext academic events – Including IPOready, a multi-day education program for companies preparing for listing.
  • Business networking events – Enhancing engagement with clients, stakeholders, and investors.
  • Internal company events – Such as the End-of-Year Party and Family Day.
  • Roundtables & executive forums – High-level discussions with industry leaders and stakeholders.

Your ProfileWe are seeking a highly experienced and strategic event professional with:

  • Proven experience in event management, preferably in an international corporate environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in reorganizing and optimizing workflows.
  • Strategic mindset, able to rethink and improve event planning and execution processes.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and top management, ensuring events align with business priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English (additional European languages are a plus).
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams (PR, Marketing, Communications) and external vendors.
  • Experience in budget management and a strong focus on event ROI.
  • Familiarity with ESG principles and a passion for implementing sustainable event practices.
