The Senior Finance Analyst (Statutory Reporting) is responsible for overseeing preparation, accuracy and timely submission of local statutory reporting for the global TWE business, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting principles, standards, and regulations. You will play a lead role in development, implementation and ongoing management of the local statutory reporting process across TWE, with key regions being EMEA and Asia.This is a new role, and key to the success of the person in role will be the establishment of appropriate planning and governance processes / plans to ensure timely delivery of Statutory Accounts globally, aligning with key external stakeholders on changing regulatory requirements, and providing guidance internally to ensure the company is compliant with and meets their local regulatory reporting obligations.In addition, you will work closely with the Record-to-Report EMEA Finance Manager to support Month-End Close (MEC) reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and continuous process improvement of regional finance processes.Key Responsibilities Include

  • Statutory Accounts:
  • Establishment of appropriate planning and governance processes / plans to ensure timely delivery of Statutory Accounts globally.
  • Work closely with teams across TWE including Group Finance, Company Secretary, Tax, Treasury and Sustainability Teams, to ensure financial regulatory compliance, and support external company directors (EMEA) requests and briefing.
  • EMEA in region lead (primary point of contact) for the preparation of statutory reports for 12+ legal entities (prepared by 3rd party) & external audits as required.
  • Work closely with Group Financial Control to determine how adjustments or corrections need to be reported externally and if require internal adjustment.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for statutory reporting activities, including responding to escalations, addressing audit findings, and supporting in-region teams prepare and support requests from external parties e.g. auditors.
  • Reporting Accuracy: Manage the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data included in regulatory reports, ensuring data aligns with internal financial reports and is free from discrepancies.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other finance teams, including Group Finance, Supply Finance, Treasury, Business Services etc. to ensure standardised was of working to gather data, align reporting processes, and centralised oversight of activities.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of statutory regulatory reporting processes, leveraging technology and automation where possible to streamline reporting workflows.
  • Financial Reporting Audits (Business Services): Manage and coordinate the overarching audit requests for the Business Services function. This includes liaising with auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of requests and act as an escalation point to resolve delays and/or queries.
  • Record-to-Report Support: Work closely with the R2R Finance Manager, provide support to ensure timely and accurate delivery of MEC including reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and ad hoc continuous improvement work, to streamline and simplify key processes end-to-end.

About YouTo be successful as the Senior Finance Analyst (Statutory Reporting), you will need 5+ years’ experience in statutory reporting, financial reporting (Big 4 preferred), and strong knowledge of statutory reporting requirements. You will also need to be familiar with financial regulations and accounting standards (UK / Europe / Asia), and must be a confident, self-starter who is willing to engage with staff at all levels.You’ll also need:

  • To be a Certified Chartered Accountant or Chartered Public Accountant
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong ability to influence, in the absence of direct line management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with regulators, auditors, and senior management
  • Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines and prioritise work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Highly collaborative with others across the global Finance teams and other functions to ensure key learning and best practices
  • Knowledge of JDE, Blackline & HFM useful; strong excel skills important
