Senior Finance Executive

IRW’s Finance Division is recruiting for the position of ‘Senior Finance Executive’ to join its dynamic team on a full-time, permanent basis to based out of its offices in Birmingham, UK. The organisation is currently working to a hybrid working model.

The purpose of the role is to work closely with the management team at TIC International and Network and Resource Development with emerging new Islamic Relief entities across the globe. Developing and overseeing robust financial assurance and business processes.

You will be involved in ensuring financial excellence across established finance functions and being instrumental in setting up processes, controls and systems, that are fit for purpose for a rapid scale-up income-generation business entity.

This position will require a commercial mindset, enabling and encouraging collaboration, liaison with Corporate Finance, Treasury, and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate must have or be:

• Member of one of the professional accounting bodies (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA) and/or qualified with substantial experience.
• Extensive experience in a senior management role within an International Finance environment.
• Demonstratable experience of audit, regulatory frameworks, risk management, assurance, control of financial resources and financial management at a senior level.
• Proven experience of managing staff at managerial level, strategic planning, budgeting and corporate decision making.
• Proven experience of engaging with and influencing decision-makers with sound political judgment and sensitivity.
