Our global network of centers provides region-specific expertise, outstanding service and remarkable technology in every image.Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Senior Geophysicist and Business Development to join our team!The successful candidate will join CGG Multiphysics – part of CGG Geoscience – and report to Team Leader or another CGG Multiphysics management employee, to both strengthen and expand our technical services capacity and provide technical business development input.CGG Multiphysics is a globally recognized provider of Multiphysics imaging solutions to the energy and mining markets, with a focus on quantitative 3D integration of electromagnetics and potential field data. We develop and maintain industry-leading 3D depth inversion algorithms and data analysis software, providing high-end services and technology licensing; e.g. access to client-driven 3D depth inversion modeling via the CGG Cloud.Principle Responsibilities

  • Analyze data and conduct depth inversion modeling of multiphysics datasets, emphasizing the 3D integration of GravMag, EM, and other geoscientific information. Prepare deliverables and present results to clients.
  • Collaborate with our R&D geophysicists to define and enhance workflows. Contribute technical solutions and commercial insights to the development of our data analysis software packages.
  • Draft technical reports, commercial tender documents, abstracts for conference presentations, scientific papers for journals, and software documentation.
  • Assist in defining technical scope and deliverables during project proposal development.
  • Engage in business development activities, including fostering enduring technical relationships with clients, generating new projects tailored to clients’ specific imaging needs, and promoting our group’s services and software products through marketing materials and direct client interactions.

Qualifications

  • MSc or PhD in numerical geoscience, physics, or a related field.
  • Substantial industry experience.

Skills and Experience:

  • Comprehensive Project Management skills with a proven ability to keep a project on track and ensure the delivery of technically excellent results
  • Deep technical understanding of gravity & magnetics, and preferably also EM, as applied to natural resource E&P in Mining specifically, +/- O&G and Geothermal.
  • Experience with multiphysics data integration methods in joint workflows and integration of geological ancillary data
  • Experience with airborne data primarily, and also ground and marine data acquisition techniques and data analysis
  • Understanding of the growing field of data analytics, and the practical applications for the analysis / modeling / interpretation of multiphysics data.
  • Proficient in professional English, with a track record of producing technical documents such as reports, marketing materials, and publications. Fluency in other languages is advantageous.
