An excellent opportunity has arisen for two permanent Band 3 senior health care assistants for Rheumatology clinic.There is a full time and part time post available.You will be part of a friendly and proactive team and will support the registered nurses as well as running a phlebotomy clinics and a Dexa scanning service as well as assisting the Doctor and specialist nurse clinics.Phlebotomy skills are preferable, however full training will be provided, evidence of significant experience as a healthcare assistant is essential.The role is Monday – Friday, excluding bank holidays and weekends.Main duties of the jobMain duties of the role include:
- Perform phlebotomy in a dedicated clinic/outpatient setting.
- Recording of observations
- Record weight and height measurements
- Maintain adequate heath records
- Maintain communication with patients
- Assist Doctors and specialist nurses in outpatient clinic

The HCSW will work under the instruction of the clinical team members to assist with a range of clinical tasks required during the patients outpatient appointment.
