Hartley People Recruitment, in partnership with our client, is hiring for a Senior HR Business Partner in Waterford.About the RoleThe Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, aligning HR initiatives with business goals to foster employee engagement, operational excellence, and a positive workplace culture. Operating in a fast-paced contact centre environment, this role ensures HR strategies are effective, compliant, and support both employees and organisational success.Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Support workforce planning and organisational design to meet the needs of a high-volume contact centre.
  • Analyse HR data to provide insights that drive informed decision-making and improve employee performance.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee morale and reduce turnover.
  • Design retention strategies tailored to the unique challenges of a contact centre environment.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Lead performance management processes to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Identify development opportunities and career pathways for employees in collaboration with leadership.
  • Implement leadership development programs to enhance managerial effectiveness and support succession planning.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
  • Mediate and resolve complex employee issues to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Ensure HR policies comply with Irish employment legislation and industry standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
  • Leverage HR technology and tools to optimise HR service delivery.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the organisation.
  • Support leadership in managing organisational change, including restructuring and process optimisation.
  • Champion company values to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Lead projects that enhance the organisation’s reputation as an employer of choice.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in HR, including 3-5 years in a senior HR role.
  • Strong expertise in employee relations, organisational development, and engagement strategies.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume contact centre environment is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret HR data and drive strategic decisions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practices.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Measurable improvement in employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Reduced attrition rates and enhanced retention strategies.
  • Successful execution of HR initiatives and process improvements.
  • Effective resolution of employee relations cases with positive outcomes.
