The Business Development department of SCOR Investment Partners SE (“SCOR IP”) is responsible for the development of the company’s third-party asset management business, and encompasses Sales, Marketing & Communications and Strategic Distribution Partnerships.

Reporting to the Head of Intermediated Markets, the Senior Institutional Sales Manager (Intermediated Markets) is responsible for developing SCOR IP’s institutional client base in North of Europe (Denmark, Netherlands, Nordics) and works closely with Consultant relationship managers active in those areas. This segment is a key feature in the medium to long-term development of SCOR IP’s third-party asset management franchise.

She/He favours a high level of expertise, integrity, honesty, loyalty and collaboration within the company and promotes the OneSCOR culture.

Key duties and responsibilities

The Senior Institutional Sales Manager (Intermediated Markets) duties span across the following areas:

  • Promotion and marketing of SCOR IP and SCOR IP’s investment strategies towards prospects:
  • supporting the development of SCOR IP’s brand and customer base in the targeted region
  • promoting the product offering of SCOR IP to institutional clients and proposing adaption of investment vehicules to meet local regulations
  • monitoring of RFPs and, when appropriate, preparation of SCOR IP’s replies to clients’ / prospects’ requests in cooperation with the Marketing department
  • onboarding of new clients in cooperation with the Client Service department
  • Contribution to the intermediated markets strategy to address:
  • identification of targets and relevant products, 
  • extending reach and monetising global consultant relationships within the targeted region
  • sharing feedback regarding the competition and SCOR IP’s offering in the area 

Ideally based in Paris, the Senior Institutional Sales Manager (Intermediated Markets) will be working in collaboration with the rest of the sales team and the investment teams. He/she will take part in the discussion and development of the product offering of the investment company.

He/she will achieve the goals set, both quantitatively and qualitatively and will report on the sales activity using the various tools used by SCOR IP.

She/He will notably work in close collaboration and provide guidance to the RFP team located within Marketing & Communications.

She/He will be one of the key spokespersons of SCOR IP and will travel on a frequent basis and participate to market events.

He/she aims at developing a high level of expertise and acts with integrity, honesty, loyalty and collaboration within the company, consistent with the OneSCOR culture.

Required experience & competencies

  • Minimum 10 years experience, of which at least 3 years in the target market
  • Must have English fluency
  • Ideally local (preference for NL), with international experience
  • High level of technical expertise
  • Experience managing funds or structured product sales
  • Key understanding of nuances of regulated pensions market 
  • Well networked.
  • Team player 

Required Education 

  • Higher education required
  • CFA or similar well regarded

Languages 

  • Full proficiency in English (written and spoken)
