This gives the legal department an important role within Murex but is also predicated on an expectation of maintaining very high standards, notably strong legal judgment based on an up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of black letter law and the ability to communicate this coherently and effectively and to apply it with commercial common-sense.What you’ll do?Under the supervision of the EMEA General Counsel, you will provide legal advice to the sales team in relation to pre-sales contracts/processes:
- draft NDAs, review of RFI/RFPs and software licenses, maintenance and services contracts including SaaS, amendments with international institutional customers (banks, hedge funds, financial institutions and multinational companies).This includes the preparation and tracking of issues lists and revised drafts.
- gain autonomy to handle negotiations.
- provide day-to-day assistance to the sales team in relation to contract management compliance requests made by clients and other day-to-day matters
You may also assist in a range of corporate matters and the negotiation of procurement contracts including inbound licenses and connectivity agreements for the Murex group.Your profile/Who you are ?
- Excellent academic background in law – International studies abroad or native in English language
- At least 5 years of experience in an international company, a background in a law firm would be a plus.
- Excellent drafting skills in English language
- Very good knowledge of IP/IT and commercial law – Familiarity with software license and IT agreements would be a plus
- Appetite for commercial contract negotiation
- Willingness to work as a team player in a challenging environment
