Full time – ParisAs a Senior Legal Counsel at Kiln, you will act as a business partner for commercial, contract and intellectual property matters, while we scale in hyper-competitive markets and fast-moving regulatory environments! You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of agreements with customers, vendors, and partners, including drafting, negotiations and implementation. You will report to our Head of Legal and work closely with the Sales, Finance and Product teams to assist with the implementation of key strategic and commercial projects throughout the business.Responsibilities:Lead the negotiation and drafting of complex commercial sophisticated agreements for our range of productsServe as a strategic advisor to Kiln’s Product, Sales, and Finance teams, fostering strong communication and collaboration.Develop and refine contract templates, playbooks and terms of service to align with Kiln’s evolving product suite and services.Implement efficient legal processes, procedures, and metrics to enhance the delivery and effectiveness of legal services.Support the development of scalable contracting, and increase the efficiency and scalability of commercial legal support.Develop and implement the intellectual property strategy across the organization.Stay abreast of developments in blockchain and digital currencies to offer informed compliance guidance, ensuring alignment with policy compliance and relevant regulatory frameworks.Requirements:A minimum of 5 years of legal experience in law firm or in-house.Demonstrated expertise in IP, IT, and data law, with a solid background in drafting and negotiating complex agreements within the fintech, blockchain, or technology sectors.A proven track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives, especially in Product, Business Development, and Compliance.Deep understanding of risk mitigation strategies across technology platforms.Strong attention to detail coupled with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Excellent legal judgement and creativity in problem-solving, balancing important legal risks with business objectives.Proactive, enthusiastic, resourceful and accountable approach, with ability to work independently with minimal guidance as well as collaboratively as part of a team.Nice-to-haves:A passion for blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, and the potential for financial innovation,Familiarity with digital asset or financial services industries and knowledge of associated regulatory issues is a plusHistory of advising high growth companies, particularly those involved in highly regulated industries is a plusAbout Kiln:Kiln is the leading enterprise-grade staking platform, enabling institutional customers to stake assets, and to whitelabel staking functionality into their offering.
