If you are a dynamic, detail-oriented, and hands-on lawyer, and want to be part of a growing fintech and challenging experience, this is your place.What challenges you’ll be solving 🚀Provide legal and regulatory support to credit and payment products businesses in SeQura’s international expansion.Negotiate commercial and outsourcing agreements with banking partners and third-party payment services providers.Advise business units on the international expansion of SeQura’s business, designing the best strategy in terms of obtaining financial licenses.Monitor payments and lending industry and related proposed legal and policy developments in Spain, the EU and other jurisdictions, and advise SeQura on new and changing regulatory requirements, offering extensive support to other teams in fulfilling our obligations.Assist with advocacy in areas of regulatory reform, including drafting responses to requests for comment on proposals that may affect SeQura businesses, with input from the relevant stakeholders.Act as key legal adviser for new initiatives led by business and product teams working on payment related initiatives, participating in the design and commercial launch of new products and services in light of the applicable EU and Spanish consumer and payment services regulations.Review and update the operational and commercial processes of the company from a legal perspective, aligning processes, helping stakeholders to drive decisions, and reducing complexity.Contribute to ongoing innovation projects.Coordinate external legal counsels, including local law firms in each jurisdiction in which seQura has business relationships.Cultivate strong working relationships with key regulators and partner with the business to achieve desired regulatory outcomesWhat we offer 😎We have a strong and sustainable foundation, where we provide a secure and reliable workplace. Each area will include a variety of activities, and you’ll be able to choose from 34 different activities that best meet your needs to configure a plan that best works for you.What you’ll need 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽A law degree in any EU jurisdiction.+7 years of experience in payments or BNPL products as an in-house lawyer in the international expansion of a scale-up in the payments or BNPL industry.Excellent Spanish and English verbal and written communication skills.Strong advocacy skills, and the ability to succinctly explain complex matters to audiences with varying degrees of background information.In-depth understanding of online payments, BNPL products, and the legal framework applicable to financial services in general and payment service providers. Experience in outsourcing arrangements for payment institutions.
