Senior Manager, Data and StatisticsETRMA – European Tyre & Rubber Manufacturers’ AssociationBrussels, BelgiumThe European Tyre and Rubber Manufacturers’ Association (ETRMA) is the voice of the tyre industry in Europe. We represent 14 leading tyre manufacturers with production sites across Europe, as well as national tyre associations in EU Member States. ETRMA engages with policy-makers to promote the views of the industry, provide technical expertise, and build an enabling supportive legislative and regulatory environment. ETRMA also hosts a data exchange programme (EuroPool) which promotes market transparency and robust data collection. In addition, ETRMA also produces a range of statistics on the European tyre sector.Based in Brussels, the Secretariat is responsible for the planning, prioritization and execution of ETRMA’s work. The team currently consists of 10 professionals.Reporting to the Secretary General ETRMA is seeking a Senior Manager, Data and Statistics to coordinate its data change programme.Key Responsibilities:Management of ETRMA Data Exchange (EuroPool)
- Ensure the operation of the EuroPool in line with competition law and adherence to the governance rules. Propose changes where necessary;
- Agree an annual budget with Members and manage the budget;
- Ensure the successful integration of any new Member into the programme;
- Prepare and Chair meeting of the Statistical Supervisory Committee, Statistics Committee, Product Specialist Group and any other project groups deemed relevant:
- Developing meetings agendas;
- Leading meetings to ensure efficient and outcome orientated results; and
- Effective and timely follow-up.
- Manage the relationship with our third-party data provider:
- Plan and agree an annual work programme;
- Monitor performance;
- Agree on an annual budget.
ETRMA Statistics
- Support ETRMA, Industry and policy-makers with tyre market data;
- Manage the publication of ETRMA quarterly market statistics;
- Support the collection and publication of annual end of life tyre (ELT) statistics;
- Support the annual updates of tyre industry sustainability KPIs;
- Assist in the production of ETRMA socio-economic studies.
Trade Policy & Data
- Timely monitoring of developments related to EU trade policy and the execution of policy advocacy on trade issues;
- Manage internal Committees and Working Groups to drive issues internally with Members. Ensure appropriate reporting and meeting organisation;
- Represent ETRMA at external events and meetings.
Profile Requirements:
- Knowledge of the EU (Global) tyre industry market, dynamic and trade flows or an and ability to learn quickly;
- Knowledge of statistics and data management;
- Experience of project management;
- Understanding of the EU regulatory environment;
- Previous experience in trade association work is a strong asset;
- Self-motivated and ambitious achiever. Ability to build trusted relationships and work in a small team;
- Dialogue orientated and collaborative. Able to proactively build and manage a positive relationship with Members to anticipate their needs and manage differing positions;
- Work with integrity and accuracy towards quality output;
- Able to work under pressure and deliver timely to deadlines;
- Fluent English skills, both oral and written. Other languages are an asset;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including on complex technical issues;
- Sense of responsibility and urgency;
- Based in Brussels or willing/able to relocate.
