The main missions of the Communications Department are to support Air Liquide’s strategy, reinforce its reputation and increase its attractiveness.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Within the Group Communications Department, we are looking for a Senior Media Relations Communications Manager.

The responsibilities of Media team members in the Influence team is to :

  • Promote the Group’s key messages in the traditional media (in close coordination with the Social Media team – web media and influencers)
  • Manage the Group’s reputation, notably in the event of a crisis
  • Support the Group’s international subsidiaries and entities in their media strategy

Missions :

  • Proactive communication: drafting press releases and news items for the Group, and enriching the various media content (press kits and theme sheets for the media, etc.).
  • Contribution to the organization of events (conferences or press trips), as well as events using digital tools (themed meetings, inaugurations, off-site meetings, live-tweeting, etc.). 
  • Reactive communication: follow up on press requests in coordination with the Group’s different activities and geographical areas. Handle interview requests, with preparation of key messages, Q&A and media-trainings if necessary with Group managers to prepare interviews. 
  • Follow press coverage, reporting, assessment, analysis and valorization of coverage in France and abroad.
  • Support to subsidiaries and entities to ensure consistency and relevance of press messages. 
  • Support the influence team when necessary to develop content for the Group’s social networks and monitor the Group’s e-reputation.
  • Monitor trends, new tools and new players in the digital sphere, and help define the roadmap.
  • Crisis support / including assistance in drafting position papers on sensitive issues

Are you a MATCH?

With a degree in communications (Bachelor or above level), you have a 5/10 years’ experience in external communications, preferably in press relations (and if possible with a digital and crisis component).

In addition, you ideally have knowledge of the industrial sector and an appetite for themes such as decarbonation, energy transition, hydrogen….

Required qualities: curiosity, autonomy, rigor, adaptability, pro-activity, print and web writing skills, ability to analyze and summarize, and excellent interpersonal skills. Open-minded, you are also agile with digital technologies.

Bilingual French-English preferred.
