We are looking for a talented photonics engineer to join our team in Lyngby, Denmark. As a key team member, you’ll contribute to groundbreaking advancements in next-generation optical transceiver design.About PhanofiPhanofi, spinoff from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), was founded in October 2022. We are pioneering advancements in photonics technology to enhance data transmission efficiency for supercomputers and hyperscale datacenters.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and test photonic integrated devices and systems for communication applicationsPerform simulations, experiments, and data analysis to evaluate the performance of photonics devicesStay updated on the latest trends and advancements in photonics, and optical communicationContribute to the preparation of technical reports, conference presentations, and publicationsParticipate in project planning, execution, and review meetingsDesign PICs using multiple foundry platformsWork closely with optoelectronic packaging houses resolving all DFM issuesEducation and Experience:PhD in Photonics devices, optical communication, electrical engineering, or a related field2+ years of experience in photonics research and development particularly PIC designSkills:Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Ansys Lumerical, COMSOL) and programming languages (e.g., Python)Strong understanding of photonics design theory and optical communication principlesExpertise in RF design using ADS or HFSS would be a plusStrong teamwork abilitiesGood command of written and spoken EnglishAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyA good balance between attention to detail and ability to see the big pictureStrong personal interest in building an optical interconnect product from the ground upFull-time employment, Kongens Lyngby 2800, Denmark (20 km north of Copenhagen).Apply now to join our team and help shape the future of data communication !
