The Role:

 

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic team player for the KOICA-funded DRR and Anticipatory Action Project under the Humanitarian Action and Disaster Resilience Portfolio who has adequate knowledge and experience in DRR, Anticipatory Action (AA), IGA, WASH, Cash Programming, and DMCs capacity strengthening in Bangladesh Context. Also, s/he should have experience in partnership management in disaster resilience building programming with the lens of localisation. The position will be specifically responsible for KOICA-funded project management through a partnership with local NGOs. The position must have also experience in partnership management, project cycle management, project monitoring, and impact measuring including experience in capacity building of local partners and communities in the Disaster Resilience Programming including technical capacities on DRR, Anticipatory Action, Cash Programming, WASH, Resilience building through Income Generating and local infrastructure development for building disaster resilience communities. Also, the person must have the ability to work effectively with others, adaptable and flexible including an ability to mainstream gender into project management.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be/have:

  • Education – A post-graduation degree in any discipline or equivalent along with
  • Minimum experience of 5-7 years in disaster resilience/ DRR / relief/recovery and /or development work with INGO / NGO/ or Government. 
  • Fair knowledge and skill in Community-based disaster resilience, DRR, Anticipatory action (AA), IGA, WASH, Cash Programming, DMCs capacity strengthening, and Localisation / Local Humanitarian Leadership
  • Proven experience in project cycle management through Partnership with local NGOs
  • Good communication, facilitation, and representation skills in both Bengali and English- (written and oral) along with expertise on MS Office application
