This is your opportunity to influence strategic direction, work across functions and borders, and deliver high-impact digital solutions that help shape Hempel’s commercial future.Your key responsibilities include:Leading strategic digital projects end-to-end, from roadmap definition to successful implementation and transition to operational ownershipDriving alignment between business needs and technical delivery, translating strategic goals into clearly defined digital solutionsOwning the project roadmap, including milestones, resource planning, budget, dependencies, and governance activitiesActing as a bridge between development, implementation, and business teams, ensuring smooth handover between project phasesIdentifying and managing project dependencies and risks, developing mitigation strategies and ensuring project continuityCollaborating with cross-functional teams across geographies, aligning interests and priorities to deliver shared outcomesReporting on project performance, including budget tracking, scope changes, critical path insights, and risk escalationsFacilitating Steering Committees, preparing clear and actionable decision frameworks in collaboration with Business SponsorsEnsuring proper change management and stakeholder communication to drive adoption and clarity across the organisationManaging third-party suppliers and vendors, including contracts, Statements of Work (SoW), and delivery timelinesContributing to the standardisation of tools, templates, and best practices within the Digital function and across HempelEnsuring compliance with Hempel’s governance framework, including project methodology (PRINCE2), data policies, and other internal standardsYour key project tasks will include:Leading large-scale digital projects with full responsibility for delivering on time, within budget, and aligned with scopeDriving collaboration across global functions, business units, and vendors, maintaining project momentum and shared ownershipActing as a Project Manager and/or Scrum Master, applying both PRINCE2 and Agile/Scrum methodologies to structure deliverySupporting prioritisation and resource planning in a matrixed, international environmentManaging performance reporting and Steering Committee engagements, ensuring leadership has transparency into status and issuesOwning supplier and vendor relationships, including budget negotiation, performance oversight, and coordination with legal and procurementPromoting cross-project integration, ensuring interdependencies are identified and managed in a cohesive program contextFostering high-performing teams, encouraging continuous learning and collaboration across team membersActing as the central point of contact for all project communications, both internally and externallyDriving impactful change management, ensuring that digital transformations are adopted and embedded in business operationsWhat we’re looking for:We are seeking a confident and strategic thinker with a strong track record in delivering digital projects that make a difference. You should be experienced in navigating complex, global organisations and have the ability to manage multiple stakeholders with clarity and confidence.We imagine that you bring:A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (IT, Engineering, Business, Digital, etc.)5+ years of experience leading large-scale digital or transformation projects, preferably in a global, matrixed organisationExperience in ecommerce projects based on Sitecore/Order Cloud platform, or other complex e-Commerce project experience, is a strong advantageDeep knowledge of digital platforms, IT architecture, and integration best practicesExperience with project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma, and Agile/ScrumHands-on experience with Azure DevOps or similar digital project toolsProven ability to manage external vendors and suppliers, including contract and budget managementStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to present to senior leadershipA structured, proactive mindset with the ability to drive multiple workstreams in parallelExperience managing cross-cultural teams and projects across time zonesFluency in English, both written and spokenReady to make an impact?Welcome to apply!
