Job DescriptionAbout this role:The Senior Project Manager acts as an expert on Project Management methods and tools to prioritize, advise, or lead cross-functional, global projects that expand the delivery capability and efficiency of Biogen global operations.What You will do:
- Accountable to Steerco & Project Sponsors for solution delivery – scope, schedule, budget.
- Monitor progress and prioritize the project work plans.
- Track and drive resolution of key issues.
- Manage risks and dependencies.
- Manage project stakeholders.
- Lead communications and reporting.
- Track deployment readiness – function / End user perspective and service operations setup.
QualificationsWho You are?You are an experienced professional in Project Management with strong collaboration, communication, leadership, and change management skills as well as experience driving business change projects. You have an an excellent knowledge of tools, techniques and methodologies and you enjoy partnering with business areas to help them realize both regional and global projects.Required Skills:
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience, ideally working in progressive global business optimization projects in a GBS/SSC/BPO organization.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business (or Management), Operations, computer systems or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required; a Master’s degree (or equivalent) is highly desired.
- Proven experience in working with business owners to determine business requirements for systems.
- Proven ability to create solid project plans and to manage full lifecycle of project execution with rigor and discipline around deliverables, timelines, and budget.
- Experience in Global project implementation.
- Ability to lead and manage large and small projects across diverse suite of business process areas and operational topics.
- Solid financial acumen and ability to develop business cases.
- Outstanding ability to diagnose problems that may be related to process, technology, strategy, or people and to put in place a clear plan to overcome the problem.
- Ability to formulate and articulate a perspective and present it in a manner that generates understanding and alignment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to handle conflict situations effectively and an ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated and capable of operating independently with limited oversight. Strong sense of personal accountability for work tasks.
- Comfortable acting in a role as individual contributor and influencer.
- Comfort dealing with ambiguity and a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
This role is in hybrid work model.
