This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a new UK-wide research programme, where the coordination hub is led by the University of Bristol and UCL. Population Research UK (PRUK) is a new initiative to develop and connect the research infrastructure that supports UK longitudinal research studies. This role provides support for the PRUK Hub which comprises a small research team who are coordinating activities across many UK partner organisations. This role will be responsible for administering processes and governance and partner liaison across the UK. 

You will lead the administration for the PRUK Hub. You will provide administration support for the PRUK Directors and leadership team (across the Universities of Bristol and UCL) and key partners and collaborators across the UK. Your role will include executive support for senior academics, budget monitoring, organising and supporting a range of internal and external events, designing and preparing a range of documents and publicity material. You will design and implement administrative procedures as needed and take responsibility for maintaining these in line with changes (e.g. in University procedures) as appropriate, in order to manage the delivery of an excellent administrative service. 

You are a pro-active self-organiser. You enjoy taking the lead on designing and implementing new administrative processes to fulfil emerging needs and working with experts to meet national information security accreditations . You enjoy working as part of a collaborative team. You have good attention to detail and enjoy working in a fast-paced, and outwardly-facing environment.

Contract type: Open-ended with funding until 31/12/2028

Work pattern: Full time/1 FTE

Grade: G

Salary: £29,605-£32,982 per annum

School/Unit: Bristol Medical School

Shift pattern: 35 hours per week
