At the Faculty of Engineering and Science, Department of Chemistry and Bioscience, a position as Senior Researcher in Material Science for Resource Recovery is open for appointment from 1 July 2025 or soon hereafter.Your work tasks
As a Senior Researcher, you will join the research group Membrane Distillation and Crystallization within the Bioresources and Process Engineering section. In this role, you will contribute to project management and play an active part in the daily supervision of PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. You may also support the department’s teaching activities, contributing to the broader academic mission of the Department of Chemistry and Bioscience. In addition, you will assist in the preparation of national and international funding applications for both independent and collaborative research initiatives. The position also offers the opportunity to pursue independent research aligned with the group’s strategic focus.Your Competencies
The ideal candidate is a collaborative and self-driven researcher with the ability to work independently. A strong academic background in materials science and membrane technology is essential. Practical experience with analytical instrumentation will be considered an asset. A well-established professional network within Danish and international research communities and industry is advantageous. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken. A proven track record of publications in international journals and conferences is highly valued. Experience in teaching and academic supervision, particularly within project-based learning environments, will be positively evaluated.Qualification requirements
Appointment as a Senior Researcher requires research and teaching qualifications at the level that can be achieved through the satisfactory completion of a period of employment as an assistant professor but may also be obtained in other ways.It is a precondition that applicants have documented research at an international standard.
