We offer an opportunity to join the Worldwide Safety Evaluation (WSE) department as experienced Safety Assessor. You have experience (at least 8 years) in the field of toxicology in industry (pharmacy/cosmetics/food/agro-chemicals,…). Your drivers are both scientific excellence and pragmatism. You are ready to participate in a collective adventure within a modern and agile organization, to face both scientific and human challenges.
Located in France (Clichy), you will work in close collaboration with your safety colleagues from France, US and China, as well as well as regulatory, claim substantiation and microbiology teams, you will take care of the safety assessment of cosmetic products developed by our Research and Innovation organization.
MISSIONS
Your main roles and responsibilities will include:
- hazard identification/characterization for raw materials, cosmetic ingredients, substances and impurities including new approach methodologies such as read-across, in silico,…
- risk assessment of cosmetic products (formulation and packaging) based on all available data in close partnership with Research and Innovation labs and including the use of traditional and next generation risk assessment approaches,
- definition of in vitro and/or clinical testing program, when necessary,
- generation of regulatory documentation, and support to post marketing challenges,
- development of new safety strategies considering international regulatory evolutions, products innovation, and environmental stakes, in a dynamic and competitive landscape,
- participation in toxicological and scientific literature monitoring to maintain and develop expertise and knowledge.
QUALIFICATIONS
- PhD and/or Master degree in Sciences (toxicology, chemistry, biology, life sciences…),
- Minimum 8 years of experience in toxicology, including an experience as a safety assessor in industry (chemicals, biocides, medical devices, cosmetics, food…) and/or authorities. Experiences in various sectors would be a plus.
- Fluency in English is a pre-requisite.
