Work Flexibility: OnsiteSenior Staff Engineer, Manufacturing.Permanent PositionPosition OverviewThe Senior Staff Engineer is a key technical leader responsible for developing, optimizing, and overseeing manufacturing processes for medical implants. As a subject matter expert, the Senior Staff Engineer collaborates cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory teams to develop new technologies, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement best practices. This individual will lead efforts in scaling up new processes, ensuring compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and other applicable medical device regulations.The ideal candidate has significant experience in thermal spray coatings or related deposition technologies or materials science experience and a proven track record of implementing robust manufacturing solutions in a regulated industry.Strong problem-solving skills, leadership in technical projects, and the ability to mentor engineers and technicians are essential for success in this role.What you will do:Develop detailed understanding of best practice in product/process performance within the Medical devices industry.Develop support network of key divisional/corporate leaders academic and supplier partners to enhance understanding of product manufacture and qualityDrive high levels of employee engagement through a highly effective support structure implemented for all engineers.Develops technical solutions to complex technical problems where analysis of situations requires an in depth evaluation of variable factors.Develop system level design strategy.May lead design, development, testing & refinement of system, sub-system & component.Recommends changes in procedures.Serve as technical advisor to engineering personnel.What you will need:RequiredLevel 8 Honours Degree in an Engineering discipline.6 plus years manufacturing experience with increasing levels of responsibilityDesiredAdvanced Degree desired, ideally Masters , Black Belt or PHD.Experience in thermal spray coatings or related deposition technologies or materials science experienceExcellent communication and influencing skills with both internal and external agents.Capable of technically leading a multi-disciplined team in a fast paced, dynamic and results motivated environmentDemonstrable Excellent analytical & problem solving skills, a process improvement orientation, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and results-oriented environmentTechnological expert, willing to source, investigate and implement technological and automation advancesConfident and effective decision maker, with a proven technical leadership ability to negotiate and influence others.#IJ#INDEMEATravel Percentage: 10%
