Join our team as new Service Director Commissioning & WorkforceAre you a collaborative leader ready to make a real impact in health and social care? Following a re-structure of Adult Social Care Services in Wakefield District, we’re on the search for a dynamic colleague to drive positive change as our new Service Director Workforce and Commissioning lead.As Service Director Workforce & Commissioning, you’ll thrive on taking the lead in bringing partners together to ensure Wakefield Place can provide the best health and social care for residents who need support and ensure our staff have the best working conditions to undertake their roles.Your strategic leadership on social care related commissioning will reach right across the district.You will champion initiatives within the Council and with the Integrated Care Board (ICB), to implement high quality services for the biggest impact on people’s lives. The postholder will be integral to the leadership team in our Adult, Health and Communities directorate, as well as holding a key role at the heart of the health and social care sector in Wakefield Place.With your leadership skills, expertise, and sector insight, you will lead a whole-system approach to commissioning, focused on the outcomes that best meet the needs of local people.Through excellent communication and negotiation, you will influence the strategic direction of services and establish positive, sustainable working relationships for all.If you have a strong commitment and experience of safeguarding people and the ability to work alongside multiagency teams, and with partners to deliver excellent services in line with policies and statutory requirements, please get in touch.Why us?
