THE ROLE
You will analyse, validate and consolidate commercial, operational and financial information in order to provide maximum visibility of the shipping line’s activity to optimise decision-making for different departments within the Group.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- On a day-to-day basis, you will assist the line manager in managing his/her business (setting up, monitoring and developing indicators specific to each line + studies).
- As such, you will be responsible for producing the line’s forecast and actual results, and for drawing up the budget.
- You participate in the analysis of accounting discrepancies in order to identify any operational problems and monitor standards. You alert the manager to any deviations affecting the line’s accounts.
- You carry out studies and propose corrective measures to optimize the line’s performance.
- You present summary financial information to the management.
PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- You have a Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Business administration, from a university, business or engineering school.
- You have a 1st experience in business controlling, ideally acquired within a large international group.
- You have a good command of IT and office automation tools, including Excel, Access and SQL queries.
- Your analytical and organizational skills, combined with your open-mindedness and good interpersonal skills, will be key to your success in this position.
- You have good command of English.
