Solvay is a multi-specialty chemical company committed to developing chemistry that addresses key societal challenges. We innovate and partner with customers in diverse global end markets. Inside the Digital Technology (DT) Service of Solvay, the “simulation” team is in charge of managing services related to the simulation activities. Your main role and responsibility will be to ensure the smooth running of the services we deliver and be committed to respect SLA with our customers.
This position will be located in Lyon, France. The usual workplace is flexible and teleworking is allowed.
We count on you for:

Global follow up and accountability for the simulations tools, like Ansys, @Risk, Arena, Aspen Economics, Aspen Engineering Suite, Dynsim, ExtendSim, JMP, ProSimPlus HNO3, SciLab, Winsorp, Matlab, Minitab, chembioOffice, etc…

Provide the functional expertise of the applications to our customers, and the advanced support like the interactions between server & Database, data management, etc…

Study the implementation of some complex simulation software on an end-user computer (Analysis, Test, installation documentation); Launch and follow up the software deployment (Inventory, monitoring, CMDB update,…)

Follow-up of the evolution of major simulation tools and pilot the massive rollout of new versions.

Challenge end-user’s requests and assist the Wipro provider to deliver the service in time.

Manage incidents and level 2 support with the help of the Helix ticketing tool.

Critical incident management and escalation

Monitor the stability of application and follow-up of licenses consumption (license server analysis & deployment, troubleshooting with editors & internal teams)

Participate in the different projects linked to the industrial, security/regulations; define the industrial – product governance, define and apply the security/compliance requirements

Define and support the new generation of HPC

Back up of service owner when he/she is off

Discovery and increase the knowledge about Solvay homemade/specific applications and environment
You will bring:

Engineer and/or University degree
-
2 to 5 years experience in Simulation domaine or IT services
-
Mandatory:
-
IT Solution, Windows environment
-
Wide simulation culture in various fields: Process Engineering (Ansys, Digimat, Aspen Engineering, etc…), CFD, FEA, Molecular Modeling, Chemistry, …

Simulation tools: Ansys, @Risk, Arena, Aspen Economics, Aspen Engineering Suite, Dynsim, ExtendSim, JMP, ProSimPlus HNO3, SciLab, Winsorp, Matlab, Minitab, chembioOffice, etc…
