ITER is a unique, first of a kind project that aims to demonstrate the technical and scientific feasibility of fusion energy. Amentum one of three partners making up the Consortium MOMENTUM (construction management-as- agent contractor) is project managing the construction and assembly of more than one million components in world’s largest fusion reactor. As construction management-as-agent contractor, MOMENTUM is managing the construction and assembly of the first full-scale test reactor to include balance of plant and the Tokomak itself. Amentum is recruiting a Site Coordinator Area (F/H) to work on the ITER Project near Aix-en-Provence, France.
The role focuses on the daily field coordination of construction activities to optimize productivity and ensure seamless execution of the project schedule. The ideal candidate will support the CMA Coordination function by engaging with construction teams and anticipating potential issues to keep the project on track.
Key Duties and Responsibilities –
Field Coordination:

Oversee the coactivity and interface management for IO construction teams.

Ensure effective communication with CMA construction teams and stakeholders, maintaining productivity.
Site Supervision:
-
Monitor daily site operations, anticipate challenges, and resolve conflict scenarios for the benefit of the construction schedule.

Participate in platform briefings and act as a liaison between CMA and other project stakeholders.
Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Compliance:
- Apply knowledge of French safety legislation and ensure compliance with site rules during platform interventions.
Productivity Optimization:

Maximize the efficiency of construction teams by coordinating with contractors and project control groups.

Prevent unnecessary delays and additional costs through proactive planning and management.
Information Management:
- Anticipate and document future construction activities, ensuring all necessary information is recorded and communicated to stakeholders.
Specific Skills:
Degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Strong proficiency in French and English is highly advantageous.
Experience in managing construction activities, with an ability to oversee complex field coordination tasks.
Familiarity with construction safety regulations and site governance.
Ability to provide leadership, resolve conflicts, and facilitate smooth communication across teams.
General Skills:
Strong organizational skills, with an ability to provide clear and concise direction.
High sense of responsibility and performance driven.
Ability to work effectively as part of a high-performance team.
Experience:
Suitable for a junior-level (3 – 7 years of experience).
Knowledge of nuclear construction processes and safety procedures is an advantage but not mandatory.
