Our client is a well-established building contractor with a strong presence in the North West. With a reputation for delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects, they are now seeking an experienced Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer to join their growing team in Donegal.Role Overview:This is a key on-site role requiring a motivated and skilled engineer who can take responsibility for site setting out, coordination with subcontractors, and ensuring project progress aligns with specifications, timelines, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:Perform setting out duties using modern surveying equipment (Total Station, GPS, etc.)Coordinate and manage subcontractors and site operatives.Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with design specifications.Liaise with design teams, project managers, and site supervisors.Maintain accurate site records, reports, and as-built drawings.Assist in maintaining health and safety standards on-site.Requirements:Degree in Civil Engineering or a related disciplineMinimum 3–5 years experience in a site engineering role, ideally with a main contractorProven experience in setting out for groundworks, foundations, and structuresProficient with surveying instruments (e.g. Trimble, Leica) and AutoCADStrong communication, problem-solving, and coordination skillsFull clean driving licencePackage & Benefits:Competitive salary €50,000 – €70,000 depending on experiencePermanent role with long-term local projectsOpportunity for career progression within a stable and growing businessSupportive team culture with a strong emphasis on quality and professionalism
