Job description
The role of Site Head is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for the overall operations of the Manufacturing Organization. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the Lodi site’s functions (including Maintenance, Site EHS, Operations, Finance, Site HRBP, Site SCM, Site IT, and Site Admin) , ensuring the successful execution of projects to deliver business growth. This role is accountable for delivering high-quality services to both internal and external clients, ensuring highest standard of regulatory requirements, and fostering a culture of innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement at the Lodi site.Main responsibilities:Strategic
- Execution of the overall manufacturing strategy for CMO business unit.
- Prepare the sites to support quick changes in line with customer requirements.
- implement process for tech transfer, cost optimization, capacity building, Performance measurement, S&OP, Governance for key objectives & Any day Audit readiness across the PISL..
- Build organisational capabilities to bring efficiencies and scale.
- Support the COO (Operations Head) – KSM/API/ CDMO in implementing the strategies for CMO vertical at sites.
- Implement Cultural change to drive continuous improvement,

- Develop a Pragmatic Safety and compliance culture to facilitate the any day audit readiness.
Operational
- Direct and manage day-to-day operations, ensuring the efficient and compliant execution of manufacturing projects.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational excellence production processes, enhance productivity, and meet project timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges, drive process improvements, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Support CMO team at site for resources and administrative requirement and project implementation.
- Drive energy saving, continuous improvement programme.
- Implement strong EHS, sustainability culture across.
- Implement the ESG framework.
- Continuously scan the environment for new opportunities for cost reduction and increase in efficiency.
- Streamline and optimize internal processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Financial
- Develop and manage the site’s budgeted opex and capex .
- ensuring financial targets are adhered & reviewed.
Customer
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, understanding their needs and expectations.
- Oversee the successful execution of client projects, ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Act as the primary point of contact for [] and support client management.
People
- Make work force future ready by identifying capabilities & build improvement plan.
- Plan for resource requirements in terms of a future context and ensure availability of the same through discussions with the Management.
- Ensure proper timebound training and development plan implementation with all stakeholders.
Regulatory Compliance: * Quality Assurance:
- Drive a culture of adherence to Corporate Governance norms in routine business operations.
- Ensure sites complies regulatory inspections and client inspections with no critical findings or showstoppers.
- Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability:
- Review and validate the hazard identification / risk assessment and risk control processes developed.
- Create a safety conscious culture in the sites to foster an environment of learning, excellence, and innovation.
- Oversee and encourage behavioural based safety activities and drive adherence by the employees and workers
- Ensure preparedness for EHS audits by clients.
- Framework to achieve highest levels of certification in EHS as per ESG framework.

- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline; advanced degree (MSc, MBA, PhD) preferred
- Consolidated experience in a leadership role within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a focus on manufacturing and development
- Strong business acumen with experience in strategic planning, operational excellence, budget management and financial oversight
- P&L responsibility
