Are you an inspiring leader with extensive reserve management
experience?

A rare opportunity has arisen to join WWT as Site Manager at the stunning Welney Wetland Centre
on the Ouse Washes in Norfolk.

We are looking for someone to lead the Welney site and its team of colleagues and volunteers to
continued success as a hub for wetland conservation and a centre for inspirational and
innovative visitor engagement.

About Us

WWT Welney is situated on the South-eastern boundary of the Ouse Washes in Norfolk, Britain’s
largest area of seasonally flooded land attracting internationally important populations of
wintering wildfowl and waders, including thousands of Whooper and Bewick’s swans. Comprising
540ha of lowland wet grassland supporting some of the country’s most threatened wader and
wildfowl species, this is a flagship site demonstrating the value of wetland restoration and
management.

WWT is the charity for wetlands and wildlife. We’re on a mission to restore wetlands and unlock
their power as a wondrous solution to the problems the world faces. We are pioneers in saving
wetland wildlife, both in the UK and around the world. At our 10 UK sites around a million
visitors a year engage with wetland nature. We work internationally in key global wetland
areas, balancing conservation with sustainable livelihoods and influencing national and
international conservation policies.

will also fulfil all duties as Reserve Manager with full responsibility for development,
implementation and review of the Reserve Management Plan including the opportunity to create
new wetland habitats.
