Job DescriptionNuvo Healthcare Recruitment are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Social Care Workers for our client, in various locations around Co. Tipperary. In this vital role, you will support children and young people through person-centred care, education, and behavioural support, working in line with national care standards and individual care plans.Position: Social Care WorkerReports to: Social Care Manager/Deputy Manager/ Team Leader as requiredSalary: €37,440 – €41,184Key ResponsibilitiesAssessment & PlanningContribute to Behaviour Support Plans (BSP), Individual Crisis Management Plans (ICMP), and Placement PlansSupport the implementation of Care Plans tailored to individual needsEducational SupportDeliver 1:1 and group learning sessions for young people not engaged in formal educationAssist with homework, assignments, and other academic tasksCare ProvisionParticipate in residential activities as per assessed needsDeliver daily care aligned with individualised plansDocumentation & CommunicationRecord young people’s progress using internal systemsLiaise with supervisors, families, and external professionalsTeamwork & DevelopmentEngage in team meetings and support training for new and relief staffAttend mandatory and ongoing professional trainingHealth, Safety & LeadershipSupport a safe home environment, both physically and emotionallyTake on leadership duties in the absence of a Social Care LeaderHousehold ResponsibilitiesParticipate in household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and vehicle maintenanceConfidentiality & EthicsUphold the company’s values, policies, and confidentiality at all timesAdhere to whistleblowing and safeguarding proceduresEssential Qualifications & SkillsMinimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related field that meets CORU registration requirementsRelevant alternative qualifications may include:Psychology (Level 8), Counselling/Psychotherapy, Youth Work, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Social Sciences, Early Years Care (for U12 centres), Teaching, Nursing, etc.Full, clean manual driving licence valid in IrelandStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience working with young people exhibiting challenging behaviourFamiliarity with the Irish National Standards for Children’s Residential CentresBenefits Include:
