The candidate will be responsible for participating in the development, testing, and support features for a satellite communications system. He/she will be a highly motivated self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills and work well in a team environment. Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, document and integrate software functionality for various components within a satellite system and related environments
- Use modern C++ features in a dynamic environment.
- Take a collaborative design and validation approach in working with a multi-functional Scrum team of software development and test engineers.
- Troubleshoot and provide resolutions for technical issues encountered in the deployment of software solutions.
- Work together with engineers in the team to plan and execute tasks as required.
Qualifications:Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline is preferred.Requirements
- 1 or 3 years in C++ development
- C++, OOD/OOP knowledge
- Linux programming knowledge
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, sockets programming
- Knowledge on unit, integration, and functional testing experience, including CI/CD automation
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Self-motivated with technical leadership potential
- Proactive in driving technical solutions
- Affinity with software design skills with OOD/OOP knowledge
- Hands-on with multi-threaded/process apps on Linux, C++ skills
- Good understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP)
- Strong documentation and writing skills
- Technical leadership and mentoring abilities
- Excellent presentation skills
- Solid UML knowledge
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Affinity with satellite communications systems
- Familiar with GDB, Valgrind, Git, and scripting (shell/Python)
