Position Overview:Diligent are looking for someone who has a strong knowledge of development to join our Centre for Global Product Innovation in Budapest and together build our new comprehensive Data Platform. We collect information from tens of thousands of sources and process this large amount of data with various tools including ML classification, NLP, and tagging to provide input for the Data Science team and a wide range of reports for our clients, all built on native AWS.The ideal candidate will have proven ability to apply effective analysis, design, programming, and testing skills to produce and maintain scaled SaaS software solutions. They will be driven, resourceful and not feel intimidated by significant technical challenges. They will want to take ownership of the features they are working on, proactively drive improvements in software design and development practices, and might work with more junior members of the team to help develop their skills and optimize the performance of the team over timeKey ResponsibilitiesIn addition to core development activities for core modules and integration projects, you will be required to:Design, code, review and test assigned features and user stories, in accordance with the agile methodology employed by DiligentInfluence the design of the future state of the product, including separating out major components and sub-systems, designing and delivering prototypes, especially for back-end componentsCollaborate with the product owner and engineering manager in the analysis and documentation of technical requirements and user stories for assigned featuresAssist with production of high quality operational and system documentation as requiredCommunicate effectively with other development teams, production operations, and a number of other technology groups, to ensure regular smooth delivery of working software to productionRequired Experience/Skills2+ years’ experience in a hands-on development role at a commercial software company2+ years of experience with AWSExperience with C#, .NETProblem-solver attitude – Technology agnostic approachGood written and oral communicationsSolid troubleshooting ability and skillsAbility to contribute to the effectiveness of a high-performing agile team, and to the product innovationSuccessfully manage own workload, and take personal responsibility and ownership for delivery, behaviours, and self-improvementKeen to improve processes and share knowledge across the teamPreferred Experience/SkillsExperience with Node.jsExperience with React, TypeScriptExperience with Microservices architectureExperience with could tools, could native development, preferably AWSTest Driven Development experience preferableCI/CD experience, containers, cloud deployments, Github actionsExperience with Agile/SCRUM/Lean software developmentKeen to learn more about new languages and frameworksFamiliarity with Git/GitHub and GitflowWhat Diligent Offers YouCreativity is ingrained in our culture.
