This 36-month fixed-term executive position is based on the site in Paris-Saclay, Essonne (91).This is a position to be filled as soon as possible.WHY JOIN US?We are looking for a skilled Research Software Engineer to collaborate with our research teams in designing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions for projects focused on AI-enabled systems.As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in developing robust software solutions that enable groundbreaking research in domains such as healthcare and robotics.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development and proficiency in coding including Java, Python, and JavaScript.YOUR MISSION:As part of your missions, you will be required to:

• Work closely with researchers to understand project requirements and translate them into software solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain software systems to support research.
• Implement algorithms, data structures, and other computational techniques to solve complex problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software components into larger research systems.
• Provide technical support and expertise to researchers, including troubleshooting and debugging software issues.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in software development and apply best practices to ensure high-quality, efficient code.

REQUIRED SKILLS :

• Master’s, Engineering or PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software development
• Demonstrable experience in Java, Python, and JavaScript
• Familiarity with web frameworks such as Django, or Spring Boot
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience working in a research environment or on research projects is a plus
• Familiarity with AI and Machine Learning is a plus
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Passion for technology and a desire to contribute to groundbreaking research in AI-enabled systems
