Job description
The eBPF Platform team is building out shared tooling and agent functionality for teams utilizing eBPF, enabling new teams interested in exploring eBPF, and working to centralize knowledge on the topic. The team is composed of a set of engineers with expertise in eBPF and/or the Linux kernel, contributing to open source projects such as btfhub and cilium/ebpf. Also building products like GPU monitoring. Be a part of creating and defining a new industry standard for how to build best in class monitoring solutions based on eBPF. Join a fast-moving team working on hard problems deep in the Linux stack. In this role, you will wear many hats from writing eBPF code, to contributing to the Datadog agent and partnering with our product teams.At Datadog, we place value in our office culture – the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. - Contribute to feature development end-to-end from ideation to implementation
- Build common eBPF functionality for product teams to use in their eBPF-based products
- Research, prototype, develop, and document solutions to confusing and/or hard-to-use functionality of eBPF, easing the on-ramp for eBPF developers
- Provide technical input to product decisions
Who You Are:
- You have experience working with and developing in the Linux kernel, either using eBPF, as a kernel developer, or building low level programs in C
- You have experience building high throughput/low latency systems
- You have been building applications and tooling for 2-4 years and know the systems you’ve worked on in depth
- You are motivated by solving problems for our customers first and foremost and building beautiful products that our customers love
- You have ability to work effectively in a team
