Software Quality Engineer – Medical Devices industry – Scenic Austria – innovative electrical/micro-electronic products
On behalf of our Austrian client, a leader in microelectronic implantable products in the Medical Devices industry, we are seeking a Software QA Engineer to boost their QA department. Typical duties include
* Working with development teams to understand and review software requirements, covering different aspects of the software functionality, and so, identifying/implementing test scenarios
* Track and manage reported defects, including capturing relevant details, prioritizing issues, and collaborating with developers to facilitate timely resolution
* Improve existing systems to uncover potential software defects, ensuring the quality and reliability of medical software applications
* Perform regular updates and maintenance tasks on existing manual and automated test cases, test environments, and testing tools to ensure their effectiveness and relevance in an agile software development environment
Expected,
* A background in Computer Science or similar, industry experience of a couple of years, ideally within the Medical devices sector, and with STQB certification a plus.
* Expertise in test case design methodologies and proficiency in test automation frameworks like Appium; knowledge in database testing as well as in web and mobile application security testing is a plus
* Programming skills in an object-oriented high-level language
While it is a German speaking country, the corporate language is English as is the requirement for this position. German a plus., and free German lessons are amongst the benefits that come with an attractive salary package. Relocators welcome.
