Do you have a passion for woodland creation? We have a fantastic opportunity within the
Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust to work with us to expand and connect woodlands, and
develop a forward strategy.

We are seeking maternity cover for the Technical and Administration Officer role to
support the South Yorkshire Woodland Partnership team to deliver high quality creation of
wooded habitats and tree establishment in South Yorkshire. This is an extremely exciting time
for the Trust as we take the opportunity to contribute to the increase in woodland and tree
cover in South Yorkshire and see the natural capital benefits this brings to people and
wildlife.

You’ll be working as part of a team to engage landowners and others to develop woodland
creation projects as part of SY WCP Project Pipeline.

As Technical and Administration Officer you will enable delivery of woodland creation
targets within the South Yorkshire area of the Northern Forest by providing support to the team
ranging from collation of enquiries, tracking and reporting on progress and casework.

This will be through working with partners to provide support in design and development
of woodland creation projects, such as supporting the team with statutory consultations on
woodland creation projects and ensuring relevant data is collated to enable grants and bids to
be applied for.

Bringing an eye for detail and a desire to efficiently support a busy team working with
a range of partners, you will be in a position to learn and develop skills about the processes
followed to plan, design and create woodland.

We will be looking for a dynamic individual who will effectively support and work with
a team including manager, project officer, marketing and communications and GIS
systems.

To support the delivery of the South Yorkshire Woodland Partnership aims, in particular
the ambition to significantly increase woodland cover across the region, by providing technical
& administrative support to the team.

Leading on the co-ordination and updating of the Project Pipeline to track progress of
casework across the team, report progress to the Programme Manager and Steering Group.
