Reporting to the QC Microbiology Manger, the QC Microbiology Analyst will be responsible for supporting site activities related to Product Testing and Environmental/Utility Monitoring, performing testing of samples and laboratory duties in accordance with cGMP regulations.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Performing QC Environmental Monitoring in classified areas including lot related monitoringUtility sampling including WFI, Clean Steam and Compressed Air/GasCarrying out In-Process testing of critical lot related samples to support Manufacturing activitiesPerforming Bioburden testing on Utility samples, Drug Substance and Raw Materials within required hold timesPerforming Bacterial Endotoxin Testing on Utility samples, Drug Substance and Drug Product within required hold timesPerforming Growth Promotion testing of media lots entering the laboratoryCarrying out identifications of Microorganisms isolated post testing activitiesCarrying out the Minute Mouse Virus by PCR for in-process samplesPerforming compendial verification, method transfer/validation, and routine testing of in-process, drug substance and drug product samples in accordance with applicable procedures and cGMP requirementsCompleting all laboratory documentation in a timely and accurate mannerCompliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Registered SpecificationsAssisting in authoring and reviewing documentation, including SOPsProviding support to other departments to ensure qualification and production schedules are adhered toReviewing Batch paperwork, and reconciliation of analysis performed in the laboratoryEnsuring that any alert/action limit excursions are investigated according to site proceduresEnsuring a high standard of housekeeping and safety is maintained in the laboratoryPerforming any other activities as indicated by the Microbiology ManagerQualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required:The ideal candidate should hold a minimum of a Level 8 degree in Microbiology or related disciplineAt least 1 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical / healthcare laboratory or related technical functionA strong background in Microbiology and aseptic manufacturing is desirable but not essentialThe successful candidate must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to work in a team based collaborative environment is essentialSterility experience is desirable but not essentialWhy you should applyYou will help patients in their fight against serious diseasesYou will be part of a company that encourages excellence and innovation, respects diversity, develops leaders and values its employeesYou’ll get a competitive salary and a great benefits package including an annual bonus, pension contribution, family medical assurance, 27 day annual leave, life assurance and on-site gymAdditional informationThis role is to cover maternity leave for a minimum of 1 yearMay be required to work a 24/7 shift pattern.BMSBL#LI-HybridIf you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn’t perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
