We are looking for a passionate and experienced Specialist Software Engineer who thrives in a collaborative, research-driven environment and is excited to work on next-generation engineering platforms. You will design, develop, and maintain modeling tools and backend systems, contributing directly to the success of mission-critical software products.Day-to-Day:

• Design and implement Java-based components using Gradle or Maven build tools.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests (e.g., JUnit) to ensure software reliability.
• Work with modeling concepts such as system or requirements modeling to support engineering workflows.
• Collaborate in an Agile or V-model development environment with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in daily standups, planning sessions, and code reviews.
• Contribute to the overall architecture and performance optimization of the platform.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Experience with build tools such as Gradle or Maven.
• Proficiency in writing automated tests using tools like JUnit.
• Understanding of basic modeling concepts (e.g., systems modeling or requirement modeling).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies or the V-model development approach.
• Fluent in Hungarian and English
• Availability to work on-site in Budapest at least 3 days per week (mandatory)

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Hands-on experience with modeling languages or frameworks such as SysML, UML, Capella, AUTOSAR, or EMF.
• Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Gitlab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience developing Eclipse plugins or similar modular desktop applications.
