Job description

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth through specification-led sales. Your focus will be on promoting our product range to architects, specifiers, house builders, and interior designers, as well as collaborating closely with the Irish Sales Team to convert specifications into successful sales. This is a field-based position with at least 80% of your time spent meeting clients across NI and ROI.Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and secure specifications across RMI (Refurbishment, Maintenance & Improvement) and AD (Architectural Design) sectors.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers including architects, specifiers, house builders, and designers.
  • Identify and track upcoming commercial, residential, and refurbishment projects.
  • Collaborate with the Irish Sales Team to ensure effective handover and sales follow-up on specified projects.
  • Deliver CPDs and “Lunch & Learns,” managing your own diary and appointment bookings.
  • Actively contribute to the success of marketing campaigns, sample placements, and lead generation.
  • Use Salesforce CRM to manage your pipeline, track activity, and report on project status and opportunities.
  • Attend UK-based product training and showroom events to stay ahead on technical knowledge and innovations.

Requirments

  • Proven track record in business development or specification sales in construction or building materials.
  • Strong network within the Irish architectural and construction community is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to deliver CPDs.
  • Commercially astute, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office.
  • Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across NI and ROI.
