Job SummaryReporting to the Director for EMEA Automotive Segment, the Sr. Manager Automotive Central Europe is responsible for the business growth at Automotive customers in his region. He/She leads a team of 6 (Sr.) Sales Account Managers located in the region (Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary). Automotive is a strategic segment within SABIC Polymers SBU that manages the largest Tiers and OEM’s in EMEA relying on its broad portfolio of Polyolefins and Engineering Thermoplastics materials. The Automotive team focuses on key running applications in the segment as well as the new megatrends in electrification and sustainability.We are mindful about the importance of building a diverse team.   • Business Leadership:
  • Full ownership and accountability for the Central Europe region regarding main KPI’s: volume, Differentiation, Premium and Past Dues
  • Conceptualize and devise the region’s growth strategy, responsible for the commercial offers, price execution, account plans, OEM plans, and product strategies and their execution
  • Create and develop a target project pipeline for the region
  • Provide matrix leadership with other key functions including Supply chain, Industry marketing, Product management, Technology, Finance, and Legal
  • Customer relationship building:
  • Build trusted relationship with Sr. leadership of Top and Focus customers
  • Provide SABIC with deep insights in business drivers of customers within assigned customer portfolio
  • Team leadership & Management:
  • People management including selecting and interviewing new hires, coaching and growing existing employees, running team calls, organizing team meetings, motivating and developing employees consistently with Sabic Values and EHSS requirements
  • Evaluate performance of direct reports against their objectives and SABIC Leadership Way
  • Manage assigned budget
  • Prepare and execute regular segment reviews with the EMEA Automotive staff team

What Matters to SABIC

  • >10-year experience in technical/commercial roles.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication in English & German. Any other language is a plus.
  • Good understanding of the Automotive industry & value chain.
  • Broad experience in Sales & Marketing or Business management.
  • Knowledge of Key Account Management tools and Sales/marketing concepts and tools.
  • Performance Driven. Proficient in sales, negotiation, and client relationship building.
  • Strategic Thinking. Business Acumen.
  • Proven track record of Team Leadership & Management.
  • Collaboration and Influencing skills. High energy driven management style to achieve buy in from direct reports, multiple stakeholders and customers.
  • Experience working and delivering results in a matrix organization
