Salary of £36,562 – £44,257 per annum

2 year fixed term contract or Secondment opportunity for 24 months

37 hours per week (part-time will also be considered)

Dacorum Borough Council (along with Buckinghamshire Council, Central Bedfordshire Council and
St Albans District and City Council) are implementing a Chiltern Beechwood Special Area of
Conservation (SAC) mitigation strategy. An exciting opportunity has arisen to play a key role
in delivering this work, leading on co-ordinating the governance processes of the SAC
mitigation strategy on behalf of all of the above authorities in the Zone of Influence and
implementing the SAC mitigation strategy.

You will be required to successfully set up and manage processes for the management of
Strategic Access Management and Monitoring (SAMM) contributions on behalf of all the
authorities in the Zone of Influence whilst working with key partners including the National
Trust and Natural England. You will play a pivotal role in delivering the SAC mitigation
strategy, acting as the main point of co-ordination.

Excellent organisation and project management skills are essential along with the ability to
confidently and successfully engage with partners to achieve project goals. You will also need
to be a highly motivated individual with excellent verbal and written communication and
interpersonal skills.
