(Full-Time/Permanent)

Job Purpose

To provide an efficient, responsive and professional customer service to all students using the Student Wellbeing Service, which will include providing information and signposting to relevant services on a range of presenting issues and needs.  The Wellbeing Assistant will work in partnership and engage with students to conduct an initial assessment (some of whom will present as distressed or presenting at risk), and subsequently, with the student’s consent, refer them onto the most appropriate service deemed to meet their needs.  The role will require an excellent knowledge of all Student Wellbeing Services, a sound knowledge of the University’s structure, key processes and procedures as well as an understanding of other agencies and support services external to the university.
