The Community and Events Coordinator (Underrepresented Groups) is a key role within the UWLSU Community and Belonging team, who are changing the way they engage, support and empower underrepresented groups at The University of West London Students’ Union. This role will lead on this exciting area by developing and creating programmes of work specifically designed to engage underrepresented groups and communities. This includes but is not limited to providing bespoke and targeted support to our student groups and communities made up of underrepresented students whilst supporting the wider student group community with guidance, training and opportunities for development. The post holder will lead innovative community outreach and awareness campaigns. Additionally, the post holder will have the chance to flex and develop their event skills by delivering a portfolio of creative and fun Union events designed to maximise engagement and further the student experience.

We are looking for a creative, organised individual passionateabout the development and empowering of all students. You will have experience in working with and supporting student/youth groups to organise and deliver activity from start to finish. You will have experience working effectively as an individual and as a team and working to tight deadlines. You will have a strong commitment to equality and diversity, understand the importance ofpositive working relationships, display high levels of self-awareness and empathyand understand without a doubt that the union exists for its members.

This role is a permanent, full time (35 hours per week) contract. You will be located at multiple sites (staff may be asked to travel to all UWL sites).
