Job description

  • Evaluate supplier performance and ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • Develop and implement appropriate auditing procedures, conduct audits and assessments of suppliers to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues within the supply chain.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans with suppliers to address non-conformance issues.
  • Support new product introduction by qualifying suppliers and ensuring quality requirements are met.
  • Analyze quality data and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Train suppliers to execute specific quality system processes, including 8D.
  • Maintain documentation related to supplier quality processes and performance metrics.
  • Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal teams to foster strong professional relationships.

Industrial components – Multinational CompanyAPQP, PPAP, FMEA, Six Sigma, Lean, ISO 9001A successful Supplier Quality Development Engineer should have the following characteristics:

  • A degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience (5+ years) in quality assurance, supplier management, or a similar role in the industrial/manufacturing sector.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and standards.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Six Sigma, Lean techniques, and ISO9001 program requirements.
  • Knowledge of (GD&T) and Minitab experience.
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies and data visualization tools (PowerBI or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in tools and methods related to quality assurance and process improvement.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Fluent in Italian and English; any additional language will be a plus.
  • Availability to travel in Italy and abroad for at least 35% of the time.
  • Casting & Machining, Fabrication, Motor & Drives, and/or electronics experience a plus.
  • Preferred certifications include ASQ CQE/CQA, Six Sigma, IATF16949, ISO9001:2015.
