At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.As Surgical Solutions Specialist you will be responsible for providing clinical support, product education, and sales assistance for orthopedic surgical procedures. This role involves collaborating with surgeons, operating room staff, and hospital administrators to ensure the successful implementation and utilization of S+N orthopedic products and technologies. You will also assist in driving product adoption, providing hands-on training, and ensuring excellent customer service.What you will be doing?Clinical & Technical Support:
- Provide in-depth product knowledge and hands-on support during orthopedic surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and operating room staff with the proper use and application of surgical instruments, implants, and related orthopedic technologies
- Troubleshoot any intraoperative issues related to the company’s orthopedic products
- Stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and product advancements
Training & Education:
- Conduct training sessions and product demonstrations for surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Support new product launches by providing clinical expertise and guidance
Sales & Business Development:
- Partner with sales representatives to promote and increase the adoption of orthopedic surgical solutions
- Identify new business opportunities and work with the sales team to drive revenue growth
- Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer needs and market trends
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including surgeons, hospital staff, and purchasing teams
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through ongoing support and follow-ups
- Address and resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner
What will you need to be successful?
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., life sciences, biomedical engineering, nursing, or related) or relevant experience in orthopedic field
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a clinical, technical, or sales role within the medical device or orthopedic industry
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of orthopedic surgical procedures, medical devices, and operating room protocols
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building abilities
- Languages: Fluent Dutch and English
- Work Environment: Ability to work in operating room settings, travel as needed, and work flexible hours based on surgical schedules
