Sustainability Program Manager   

Location:
Portugal, Spain, Italy, Lithuania – Hybrid and/or Home based

Position Summary:

The Sustainability Program Manager will work with specialists from the Sustainability team to manage programs, projects, and initiatives that support the company’s strategic priority of empowering Sustainable Developments Goals through the portfolio of products, solutions, services, and partnerships (from now on called “ES(D)G” – a combination of the acronyms ESG + UN’s SDG). The Sustainability Program Manager will report directly to the Director of ES(D)G.

Your Day-to-Day:

Project-manage internal and external initiatives, partnerships, and collaborations that support Bentley’s ES(D)G strategy:

Externally:

-Expanding products (or their capabilities) or workflows
-Building a better reputation and brand awareness around sustainability
-Enabling skilling initiatives around our solutions
Internally (initiatives related to advocating a culture of sustainability):

-Developing training and learning activities
-Assisting or supporting internal campaigns
External and Internal Communications:

-Support a communication and engagement plan on Bentley’s ES(D)G strategy to key internal and external stakeholders:
Engaging with marketing teams on communications and activities related to the Bentley’s ES(D)G strategy:

-Corporate sustainability overview slides
-Presentations of best user projects on sustainability
-Managing participation in relevant sustainability events
-Strengthening programmatic engagement and feedback collection from key accounts and stakeholders
-Creating and managing an internal sustainability website
Quantify ES(D)G performance:

-Working with the specialists from the sustainability team, and with other company organizations to project-manage a continuous ES(D)G (“handprint”) quantification and performance assessment for company’s products, solutions and services, based on environmental and business KPIs.
 

What You Bring to The Team:

-Advanced degree in STEM or relevant training and/or work experience
-At least 3 years of experience in program management.
-Good (written and verbal) English communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels and influence across non-direct reporting teams.
-Comfortable and knowledgeable working and operating digital tools for team collaboration and project management/delivery.
-Skills or certifications directly linked to project management.
-Skills, certifications and/or proven basic understanding of technical aspects linked to sustainability industry
-Passion and experience for sustainability initiatives
 

Additional qualifications:

-Highly organized to create and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
-Experience working with partners and customers.
-Success in collaborating across multiple teams and levels.
-Demonstrate experience in an engineering organization with experience across multiple disciplines.
-Experience leading and executing projects in a complex organizational environment and working on several diverse projects simultaneously, self-manage and prioritize workload.
-Ability to translate ideas into clear, high impact communications.
-Knowledge of Bentley Systems a plus
