The Talent Executive will report to the Head of Talent and primarily assist with all aspects of candidate attraction, recruitment and assessment for Flex Trainee, our SQE scheme and Co Sec Trainee, our 2 year programme for aspiring Company Secretaries and Governance Officers. In time, the Talent Executive may also assist with Talent responsibilities in relation to Flex HQ and Learning & Development.Experience:Experience in one of the following areas is desirable:Legal recruitmentCompany Secretary/GovernanceEarly CareersSocial Mobility or Diversity and InclusionThe role will be responsible for:RecruitmentAssist with all stages of candidate hiring for Flex Trainee schemes; including, reviewing and assessing applications, decisions on progression, rejecting unsuccessful candidates, interviews, Assessment Centres, offers. This role spans both our legal trainee SQE programme and our new Company Secretary governance trainee programmeReview and respond to applications promptly, creating positive first impression of FlexResearch social mobility initiatives to inform future partnershipsEnsure recruitment management platforms, such as recruitee, have accurate record-keepingAssist with Identifying and recruiting candidates for atypical trainee roles or On Demand roles requiring specific skills/experienceCandidate AssessmentDevelop and maintain interview materialsInterview candidates via Zoom and in personAssist with the planning, execution and review of trainee Assessment CentresContribute to reviewing and changing candidate screening toolsTalent StrategyAssist in the implementation of hiring strategy for candidates for On Demand and Flex Trainee; set, track and report on appropriate targetsIdentify opportunities to improve the quality of the candidate pool and adapt sourcing approach accordinglyIn conjunction with Marketing team, participate in law fairs and other recruitment events;Develop and maintain candidate recruitment materials and presentationsOperationsWork to ensure we are maximising the opportunities with the portalSuccessfully onboard appropriate candidates; ensure candidate profiles are fully completed on Portal to enable effective searching and matchingRespond quickly and effectively to communications from candidates through SalesForceResolve issues with the application/screening/onboarding process and solve problems proactively to maintain good relationships with candidatesTrainee PlacementWork closely with Head of Talent on matching Flex Trainees to Flex Trainee clientsAssist on client calls or visits to ensure accurate trainee job descriptions are createdSupport Head of Talent with client proposals for Flex TraineesLearning & DevelopmentAssist on all aspects of the Flex Trainee ‘Readiness Programmes’; oversee efforts to secure participation from facilitators, presenters and buddiesResearch and execute on-going Learning & Development training plan for all Flex TraineesLead on all aspects of any other pre-placement training for FlexersAssist in measuring success of readiness programme and ongoing training programmes and be able to demonstrate ROIContribute to L&D strategyFlex Legal is looking for someone who is:Strong EQPassionate about the company’s valuesPassionate about delivering great outcomes to Flex’s candidatesMotivated by improving social mobility in the legal professionComfortable juggling competing demands and managing a varied workloadProactive and able to take initiativeA methodical, thorough worker with high attention-to-detailTeam-orientated and a strong advocate for a feedback and development cultureFamiliar with the legal and/or recruitment industriesFamiliar with learning and development best practicesClosing Date: 27th April
