The position

As Associate Outsourcing Manager your day-to-day work will be a varied mix of responsibilities supporting and interacting with your senior colleagues as well as both internal and external stakeholders. You will be challenged by working on various projects with high complexity and be involved in all aspects of the outsourcing discipline, including scientific, technical and commercial aspects.

With your interest in improving and simplifying processes, you will learn to operate and navigate within outsourcing management by collaborating closely with Outsourcing Managers and Contract Managers on all levels to gain valuable insights, knowledge and experience within:

-Business Development: strategy development, selection & approval, contracts & negotiation
-Project Management: budgeting, purchase ordering & invoicing, project plans & schedule management
-Stakeholder Management: cross-organisational collaboration with relevant stakeholders across Novo Nordisk and contract manufacturing organisations (CMO) relationships.
 

Qualifications

We are looking for talents with the following qualifications:

-A MSc or Ph.D. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry or other relevant life science degree.
-2-3+ years of experience from the pharmaceutical or equivalent regulated industry

, where you have worked with e.g. current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
-Project Management experience, preferably technical projects in an international environment.
-Interest in AI tools and the ability to work with various IT systems.
-Proficiency in English both verbally and written.
To succeed in this role, great stakeholder management and communication abilities is needed as well as capability to work within a complex interdisciplinary organisation. As a person, you are proactive, positive, and independent, with the ability to support multiple tasks simultaneously.

You are known for your ability to create an overview, but at the same time a keen eye for details. Your interest in business perspectives is evident, and you understand that the complexity of outsourcing solutions requires a curious and solution-oriented mindset for success.

About the department

As part of Novo Nordisk PSQIT organisation, Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) Development & Scaling makes a real difference for patients with chronic diseases across the world. We develop, manufacture and distribute drug candidates for clinical trials and have a strong culture with a “can do” mind-set.

The CMC Outsourcing team supports the Novo Nordisk development pipeline. Comprising of approximately 20 dedicated and experienced employees, the department is responsible for executing sourcing and outsourcing activities. This includes selecting competent collaboration partners, negotiating contractual frameworks, and project management until all deliverables are completed. The department is a part of CMC Development in Product Supply and plays a significant role in bringing new medicinal products to the market.
