Our client is a leading international firm with a strong reputation in the markets in which it operates in both dispute resolution and advisory services.Their contentious tax team covers both direct and indirect contentious tax matters. This includes managing tax risk, HMRC investigations and tax litigation (controversy) before the tax tribunals and higher courts. The team acts for corporates and private clients in many jurisdictions around the world supporting them with advice and through crisis-related issues with tax authorities and regulatory and law enforcement bodies. They have been involved in many of the UK’s most high profile pieces of tax litigation.There is now space in the team for an additional senior fee earner, at Legal Director or Junor Partner level.In order to be considered for this role you will ideally have:
- Intellectual rigour and strong black letter legal skills;
- An interest and understanding of tax law and procedure;
- Experience and proven ability to work on and run tax cases in a team environment; and
- Experience of managing client relationships and developing business;
The team describes themselves as litigators before tax lawyers, and as such whilst a successful candidate for this role will have some experience of tax controversy, expressions of interest from litigators with a wider practice as well as an understanding of and interest in tax-related work would also be of interest.
Expected salary
£120000 – 150000 per year
