At BDO, your voice matters, and your achievements are rewarded.As a Tax Manager, you will assist partners in delivering timely, commercial tax advice to Irish and international clients, manage projects, mentor junior team members, conduct technical research, and contribute to business development. - Manage a diverse portfolio of Irish and international clients, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of tax advisory and compliance services.
- Lead client engagements, including cross-border projects and technical research, while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Provide innovative tax planning and consultancy services aligned with evolving global tax developments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated client solutions and identify growth opportunities for the firm.
- Monitor client billing, fee collection, and adherence to financial targets.
- Mentor and train junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
- Drive business development efforts by identifying and pursuing new client opportunities and enhancing service offerings.
- Stay ahead of digital and technological advancements, applying them to improve processes and add value to client engagements.
- Contribute to the firm’s strategic objectives, including branding, thought leadership, and client events.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Relevant Qualification: CTA qualified, with a strong academic record.
- Technical Expertise: Excellent knowledge of corporate tax, relevant legislation, and case law.
- Professional Experience: 4-5 years in a professional tax environment, with some Big 4 and/or legal practice experience being ideal.
- Financial Services Experience: Preferred.
- Commercial Awareness: Strong understanding of commercial and market dynamics.
- Client Service Delivery: Proven experience in delivering high-quality client service across a diverse portfolio of businesses/clients.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Team Management: Demonstrated ability to manage a team and build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.
