Teaching Assistant – SEN School, Basingstoke (Autism) – April start, full-timeAcademics are recruiting on behalf of an SEN school in Basingstoke who are looking to appoint a number of SEN Teaching Assistant’s to join them after Easter. This is an on-going, temp to perm contract. This is only suitable for a Teaching Assistant who is looking for a full-time, permanent contract.The school in Basingstoke caters for learners from Year 1 to Year 11 whose needs cannot be met within a mainstream environment. All students will have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) in relation to their Social, Communication Needs (SCN) associated with a diagnosis of Autism.It is a purpose built two-storey school with specialist classrooms and extensive external grounds. They are looking to grow to offer spaces for up to 128 full time pupils with personalised academic and therapeutic programmes to help them progress in life.As a Teaching Assistant you will be required to support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
