About the RoleWe are seeking a versatile Tech Operations Associate (hybrid) to join our team. This role blends responsibilities across Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Identity and Access Management (IAM), and process automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure management, strong expertise in Okta security configuration, and automation engineering skills using Workato.In addition to these focus areas, the Tech Operations Associate will also contribute to general operational tasks, supporting the reliability, security, and efficiency of IT systems across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure as Code & IAM

• Use Terraform to design, implement, and maintain modular and secure infrastructure configurations, including Okta and other platforms.
• Develop, document, and manage Terraform modules ensuring scalability, security, and reusability.
• Administer and optimize Okta configurations, covering policies, workflows, and integrations aligned with security standards.

Automation Engineering

• Build, maintain, and enhance automation workflows using Okta Workflows and Workato, integrating systems to streamline operational and business processes.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

Core TechOps Functions

• Monitor and manage the health, performance, and availability of critical systems including IAM platforms, cloud infrastructure, and automation pipelines.
• Provide operational incident support, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions.
• Oversee and enhance existing TechOps processes, ensuring they remain aligned with changing business needs.
• Support tech asset management, system updates, and patch management.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

• Collaborate with Security, Site Reliability Engineering, and other Technology teams to maintain secure, consistent system configurations.
• Document and share configuration details, workflows, and best practices within the team.
• Provide training and guidance on automation workflows and IaC processes to other staff members.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, efficiency, and operational workflows.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in TechOps, Terraform, Okta, and Workato, contributing fresh, innovative ideas.

QualificationsRequired

• Proven experience using Terraform to design and manage Infrastructure as Code solutions, particularly for cloud and IAM platforms.
• Practical, hands-on experience with Okta, including configuration of workflows, policies, and integrations.
• Strong background in building and maintaining automation workflows using Workato or equivalent platforms.
• Solid understanding of TechOps best practices including incident response, system monitoring, and operational troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and operational frameworks.

Preferred

• Experience with other automation and configuration tools (e.g., Zapier, Ansible) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Bash.
• Relevant certifications, such as:

• Terraform Associate
• Okta Certified Professional
• Workato Automation Pro
• ITIL Certification
• Experience managing IAM systems at scale in complex enterprise environments.
